About Me

I am a writer, editor, filmmaker, and producer who has worked to bring creative projects of all scales to life. My work ranges from producing HBO Max documentaries to spearheading globe-spanning viral campaigns to producing Apple Podcast-featured shows. I'm a Creative Producer working across film, television, and podcasts for Field/House Productions.

My films have premiered at the Doris Duke Theater in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi and the Black Film Space LA Symposium and have been commissioned by organizations including Planned Parenthood, the ACLU, the Movement for Black Lives and others. My visual art has been featured by the Honolulu Museum of Art and by Color and Shapes Journal.

Most recently, I’ve served as storytelling mentor for Justice For My Sister's BIPOC Sci-Fi Lab and as steering committee member for the inaugural Crenshaw Dairy Mart Film Festival.

As a writer, filmmaker, and producer, my work highlights how delicate moments in our lives can be world-changing and revolutionary.

Logline:

When a young boy accompanies his mother on her overnight shift in a Texas hospital, a group of nurses band together to keep him hidden and her job safe.

The Folks

The Folks is an ongoing short form docuseries that asks the artists who inspire me what it is that inspires them. In Episode 1, abolitionist, photographer, and activist, Ashley Blakeney, talks all things records and record collecting.
